Irregulator
we cage the wolf to save the deer,
declare the balance crystal clear,
we prune the wild, declare whats right,
then burn the forest for the light.
we call it order, call it care,
while choking oceans, thinning air.
we fix the world with trembling hands,
yet pave the soil where life still stands.
we regulate wildlife, draw each line,
but which species regulates mankind?
we crown ourselves the earth’s decree,
yet blind to our own lunacy.
and when the wild grows back again,
we name it chaos, call it sin.
the truth we hide, though plain to see,
the threat to all is you and me.
